Bookkeeper

Richard joins Total Sum with 27 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He began his career in the field as a fabricator, gaining hands-on experience and developing a strong understanding of the industry from the ground up. Over the course of his career, he worked his way into a staff position as the Lead Piping Technician in his company’s Piping Department. In that role, Richard worked closely with his manager and an outside software company to develop a system used to track piping progress from the beginning of a project through completion. This experience gave him a strong appreciation for organization, accountability and meeting project deadlines—skills he brings with him to Total Sum.

Outside of work, Richard is the proud father of six—four sons and two daughters—and a grandfather to two granddaughters. He comes from a family with a passion for hunting and fishing, traditions he continues to enjoy and has passed down to his children. Fun fact: Richard once caught a fish so big and strong that it took him over three and a half hours to reel it in!
